Like other VTTI terminals, we are looking for ways to become more multi-skilled.

The more we can do ourselves, the more we can optimise costs and deliver efficiencies for customers. But as importantly, this brings the opportunity of new skills, challenges and achievements for our operators.

Ivan Korolkov commented: “In April and May, 27 employees went through in-depth specialist training in tank cleaning. This task carries many potential dangers, including confined-space working, and atmospheres that are toxic, oxygen-deficient and explosive. As they ‘went back to school’, grown professionals became students once again, and all passed their final exams.”
